  1. Very few Americans with mere BAs and MAs in economics have the skill set and professional experience you have.
    In the USA, people with your interests and capabilities get an MBA and lose interest in the sort of things you do. The BA and MA in economics are not much valued except in the public service.
    I am very surprised at your understanding of American economic reality and public policy, as evidenced by your discussion of the negative income tax and a guaranteed income, and given that your background is German.
